Route 66 Ultrarun - 140-miler

I ran this race in 2024 and came back this year to see if I could improve my time. The race begins in Seligman, AZ, passing through Peach Springs, Kingman and Oatman, and finishes in Topock.

The weather was warmer at the start this year with less wind. I cut about 7 hours off of my 2024 time with a finish time of 50 hours, 42 minutes and 2 seconds this year. (About 5-1/2 hours of sleep)

Healthwise, I didn’t have a problem with caloric intake or dehydration this year. I did have some serious bottom end chafing, one minor blister and I broke a toe with about 27 miles to go (in Oatman).

I finished 5th place in the Solo Runner category. All in all, a good outing.
