Broomfield Turkey Day 5k

Broomfield Turkey Day 5k - I woke up with a sore throat today (but feel fine now). The skies were sunny and the temperature was around 35 degrees at the start. It was difficult to make my way through so many runners on a narrow course. There were over 2,300 runners in the 5k and almost 400 in the 10k.

During the race I stopped for about 30 seconds to help a little girl who had fallen, then waited for her dad to catch up with her. It wasn’t my best outing but okay under the circumstances.

I got 4th place (4/62) in my age group and 191st (191/2373). 24:36 with a 7:55 pace, way slower than usual. Still thankful though.
